Usually one of three reasons: image compression is gated behind the $69 Premium tier; the free plan does alt text only. If none of those affect you, staying is a perfectly reasonable decision.
That depends on how Booster stores it. If an app renders SEO values from its own database rather than writing them into Shopify's fields, uninstalling empties them. Before you cancel anything, export what you have and check a handful of product pages with the app paused.
