What it connects to, and what it does not.
A short and honest list. Anything marked Planned is not built — it is here so you can see what is missing before you install, not to imply it exists.
Live today
Shopify Admin API
LiveHow ShopSEO reads your catalog, and how it writes a fix back when you apply one.
Read and write on products, collections, pages, blog articles and files. Auditing is read-only; nothing is written until you apply a fix.
Shopify metafields
LiveMetadata is written to Shopify’s own fields, so it belongs to your store.
This is what makes uninstalling safe. Values live in Shopify rather than in our database, so they stay on your store after the app is gone.
Shopify billing
LivePremium is charged on the Shopify invoice you already get.
No separate card, no separate account to cancel. Cancelling the app cancels the charge.
Shopify staff accounts
LiveAccess follows the permissions you have already set.
There is no separate user list to maintain and no per-seat billing. Anyone with the relevant admin permission can use it.
What it asks Shopify for, and what it refuses.
Shopify shows you this list on its own consent screen before you approve anything. Here it is in advance.
Requested
- Products, collections, pages, blogsRead and write — the content being audited and fixed.
- FilesRead and write — image optimization and alt text.
- Online-store metafieldsRead and write — where SEO values are stored.
- Shop informationRead only — plan limits, locale and market configuration.
Deliberately not requested
- Customer names, emails, phone numbersAn SEO app has no use for them.
- Shipping and billing addressesSame.
- Order contents and payment detailsSame.
ShopSEO has never applied for Shopify’s protected customer data approval, because it does not need it. A breach on our side cannot expose customer records we never held.
Three things people keep asking for.
Listed with no dates, because we would miss them.
Google Search Console
PlannedImpressions and indexation joined to each audit finding.
Would let the audit sort findings by the traffic actually at stake rather than by severity alone. Not built.
Exportable reports
PlannedCSV and PDF, so an audit can be handed to a developer or an agency.
The most-requested missing feature from agencies so far. Not built.
Scheduled re-audits
PlannedEmail when something regresses after a theme change.
The audit already re-runs; what is missing is the alert when a clean check starts failing. Not built.
Because a long list would mostly be fiction.
Most integration pages in this category list twenty logos. Look closely and many are “works alongside” rather than a real connection — two apps installed on the same store, doing nothing for each other.
ShopSEO is new. What it connects to is Shopify itself, deeply and correctly, and that is the list. When a real integration ships it will appear here with what it actually does — and until then the Planned rows say so plainly.
If an integration would make the difference for you, that is the most useful thing you can tell us. What gets built next is mostly decided by what merchants ask for. Email [email protected], or see how data is handled.
