Agreement to these terms

By installing or using ShopSEO(the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

The Service

ShopSEO helps Shopify merchants improve the search optimization of their stores. It audits your store for SEO issues, recommends fixes, and applies the changes you approve, covering areas such as titles and descriptions, structured data, links and redirects, sitemaps, and image alt text. We may add, change, or remove features over time as we improve the Service.

Eligibility and your Shopify account

To use ShopSEO, you must have an active Shopify store and comply with Shopify’s terms. You are responsible for your Shopify account, for maintaining its security, and for all activity that occurs through your use of the Service.

Installation, access, and permissions

When you install ShopSEO, you grant it permission to access and modify certain store data through Shopify’s APIs, as described during installation and in our Privacy Policy. You may review changes before they are applied, and you can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the app.

Plans, fees, and billing

ShopSEOis free to install and may offer paid plans with additional features. Any fees are billed through Shopify in accordance with Shopify’s billing terms. Charges are shown before you subscribe, and applicable taxes may apply. Except where required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or use the Service outside its intended purpose;
• Use the Service to publish misleading, infringing, or unlawful content.

Your content

You retain all rights to your store content. You grant us a limited license to access, process, and modify that content solely as needed to provide the Service, including running audits and applying the changes you approve. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content in your store.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by ShopSEO and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or brand assets. We welcome your feedback and may use it to improve the Service without obligation to you.

Third-party services

ShopSEO operates on and integrates with Shopify and may rely on other third-party services. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, or conduct.

SEO results

Search engine rankings depend on many factors outside our control, including the policies and algorithms of search engines and the actions of others. While ShopSEOis built to help improve your store’s search visibility, we do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic, or business result.

Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, and will aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopSEO will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShopSEO and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Term and termination

These terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop using it at any time by uninstalling ShopSEO from your store. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we need to protect the Service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown above. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the provider is established, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree that the courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
