Images are most of your page weight. They are also the easiest fix.
Compress what you already uploaded, give every image a real alt text, and stop loading the ones nobody has scrolled to yet.

Image compression, alt text and lazy loading for images and video.
Compression that keeps the detail
50 product images on Free, unlimited on Premium. Product photography is what you are selling, so quality is the constraint, not the target.
Alt text on every image
Written to describe the product, generated with AI credits or edited by hand, and useful to a screen reader first.
Lazy loading on Premium
Images and video below the fold stop competing with the content someone is actually looking at.
01
The work is already done, badly
Most stores have thousands of images uploaded straight from a camera. Nothing about your workflow has to change for this to be worth doing once.

Alt text is an accessibility feature first
Writing it for a screen-reader user happens to produce the best text for search too. Optimising for the search engine alone produces keyword soup that helps neither.

Try it without installing
The image compressor on this site runs in your browser, so you can see what compression does to your own photography before you decide.
